Personnel & Training office established at RTA Parking Dep't

Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) announced that a Personnel & Training Office is established at Parking Dep't of RTA Traffic & Roads Agency to oversee implementation of the strategic plans.

The step demonstrates the attention of the RTA to upgrade employee performance to the highest standards required for delivering quality & excellent services to customers.

Engineer Najeeb Al Zarouni Director of Parking Dept at RTA Traffic & Roads Agency, affirmed the commitment to uplift manpower standards in the Agency, particularly those engaged in direct dealing with the public.

This is bound to boost efficiency, improve performance level, and eventually achieve customer satisfaction within the overall strategy of the RTA.

"The newly established Personnel & Training Office at Parking Dep't of the Agency will assume several responsibilities such as prepare and follow-up implementation of the annual business plan of the Office, and follow-up implementation of the strategic plans. The Office will also prepare its annual budget, monitor budget implementation & suggest adjustments to meet requirements, and simplify the administrative work within the geographical boundaries of the Dep't.

"Identifying the internal & external training courses required by the Dep't is a top priority for the new Office. It will coordinate with RTA Human Resources & Development Dep't with regard to training courses and endorsing candidates of the Parking Dep't, suggesting development plans, and assessing problems facing departmental employees & means of sorting them out.

"Through this Office, the Agency will follow-up annual evaluation of employees, monitor performance at all sections, ensure application of the required quality procedures, audit departmental business plans, verify results and raise suggestions to boost employee performance levels.

"The office will also ensure that an effective system is in place to deal with employees and attend to their requests & queries. It will also ensure that quality standards developed by the RTA and the Agency are duly complied with, and the targeted results are achieved in accordance with the key performance indicators set in the plan.

"Establishment of this Office reflects the attention paid to the field staff in general and Parking Dep't employees in particular. RTA very much cares for extending every convenience to these staff and creating excellent working environment for them so that they can excel in their jobs. These site employees are ambassadors of the RTA and reflect its image to the community; a matter which receives best attention of the RTA" added Zarouni.
