Other activities in the Modhesh Friends Club include art, music workshops, and day trips.

"The Benetton fashion show is the pinnacle event for a wider programme designed to build self-confidence in children, to increase their self esteem and encourage them to try new things,"

said Ajai Kumar Dayal, General Manager - Retail and Marketing, Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group (ESAG), distributors for United Colours of Benetton, Better Life, ID Design, and Leigh's Paints.

"Benetton's summer 2008 children's collection features a range of fresh and fashionable styles which transport kids to a world rich in color and imagination. The summer collection is inspired by childish freedoms to wear, to interpret, to choose, to move about and to play," said Dayal.

"The enthusiasm of the children to be a part of the Benetton fashion show amazes me each year. We are delighted with our continued involvement with the Modhesh Friends Club summer programmes and the benefits they offer to children in the UAE," added Dayal.

Fourteen children aged between three and 13 participated in the show, showing off the brilliant colours, dynamic style, young glamour, and international mood of the Italian clothier's warm weather offering.

The Benetton Children's fashion show will run from 3 to 9 July in Festival Square at Dubai Festival City.
