RTA promotes interaction with suppliers, strategic partners

Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) organized an Open Day as part of its annual program aiming to support development projects & services in the emirate of Dubai through promoting interaction with strategic partners.
RTA is keen to promote such partnerships which would contribute to realizing the vision of the RTA, and achieving sustained success in delivering projects & services.
"The Open Day is the first gathering of suppliers that aims to boost their partnership with the RTA, and exhibit RTA appreciation of their great role in achieving RTA objectives through delivering these projects & services, opening up new channels of direct interaction, identifying suppliers' views and feedbacks on their relation with the RTA, and identifying their requirements.
"RTA is intending to make Suppliers Open Day an annual event to foster prosperity & development in the emirate of Dubai. By staging the Open Day, RTA is seeking to support development projects through qualifying suppliers, raising their competitive standards, and enhancing various channels of interaction with suppliers. These channels include customer satisfaction surveys, e-mail, SMS, customer service counters, e-services, the Open Day, and awards to honour excellent suppliers and promote partnership with them.
"RTA has established a new section at Contracts & Procurement Dep't to cater for Suppliers' Affairs and tasked the section with a number of responsibilities including management & follow-up of qualification of suppliers and assessment of their performance. The list of tasks also includes building & maintaining an integrated & an updated database of all suppliers, promoting strategic relations with suppliers to realize the objectives of the RTA, and extending facilities to qualified suppliers to enable them deliver RTA projects" said Al Murry.
He pointed out that the RTA is considering providing some services to suppliers online; such as tenders, contracting ...etc, so as to facilitate procedures for suppliers & save their time.
