Western Union signs new agent in Oman

Western Union, the leading provider of global money transfer services, has announced that it has signed a new partner agent in Oman. Modern Exchange, one of Oman's leading exchange houses, will now offer the complete range of Western Union services across all their 9 branch offices.

Established in 1993, Modern Exchange is one of the most recognisable exchange houses in Oman, with branches in Ruwi, Musanna, Ghala, Al Khoud, Falaj al Qabail and Rusyal. This agreement expands Western Union's network to 100 agent locations in Oman.

"The primary goal of this new partnership with Western Union is to enhance and broaden our customer base" said Mr. Ebrahim Ahmed Al Lengawi, CEO of Modern Exchange. "Western Union has an enviable reputation for trust and reliability, and these qualities are crucial in a business of this nature. We are sure that the people of Oman will respond positively to this development," he added.

Mr. Jean-Claude Farah, Western Union's Regional Vice President for Middle East, Pakistan and Afghanistan, said:
