Oman issues food safety law

Oman has issued a new Food Safety Law, which is set to come into effect by the end of the year. The legislation will deal with the importation and consumption of foodstuffs and cover expired and improperly preserved goods. In addition imports from countries reporting epidemic outbreaks will be subject to restrictions.
