The Campaign will focus on different aspects of sustainability like saving energy, saving water, proper disposal of waste, recycling, plastic use, etc by providing simple tips that one can adapt in his/her day-to-day routines right away. Thus, the campaign aims to slowly develop a habit and practice of 'thinking sustainably' in all aspects of one's lifestyle both at work and at home. Further, this will also eventually result in large savings in resources for the company in the long run.

Other activities surrounding the campaign like contests for employees on trivia about sustainability, sharing news from around the world on topics related to sustainability, etc help contribute towards employee development and strengthen corporate culture by building teamwork and above all, a sense of ownership on this subject.

Eng. Yahya Lootah, Vice Chairman and CEO of S.S. Lootah Group said:

'Sustainability has been part of our value system since inception and is strongly engraved in our corporate culture. We must realise that it is not the environment that is threatened but the human race if we do not move to a more sustainable way of life. Thus, it is the responsibility of every company to instill 'sustainability' awareness and practice in their employees, a step towards the larger vision of the nation.'

Eng. Yahya also hailed the vision of the UAE leadership for their initiatives in promoting sustainability in all walks of life. 'Thanks to the vision of the Late Sheikh Zayed who was gifted with the wisdom to recognise the legacy of our rich heritage and culture of living in harmony with our natural environment, our leaders are committed to sustain a prosperous future for the UAE,' he said. He also emphasized the concept of 'Corporate Social Performance' where the companies need to adopt socially relevant activities as their core business.

Over the last 10 years, S.S. Lootah International has developed competencies in sectors that help sustain societies and environments like Alternative Energy, Gas Transmission and Distribution, Green Buildings Consultancy and Clean Transportation. S.S.
