Daman's senior management and employees donated blood at Daman's Headquarters in order to contribute to the nation-wide World Blood Donor Day (WBDD).

The Government of the United Arab Emirates is hosting the WBDD for the first time in the Arab world, under the direct patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE which portrays the UAE's leading position in the health sector.

Customer Service Supervisor Mervat Atwani said:

"I'm very proud to be partaking in such a humanitarian endeavor, many patients in need of surgery, may face delay due to the lack of compatible blood to support the operation, I believe that this year's WBDD theme 'Giving Blood Regularly' is a call to save lives."

She added: "I'm very much looking forward to my next blood donation after the passing of six months, the act of contributing brings such joy to my heart."

Daman is keen on improving the health standards by actively educating its staff and the public on general health issues.
