Khan Murjan is a two-level underground souk based on a 14th century souk in Baghdad with 150 bazaar style shops from different parts of the Arab Region.

There are four quarters in Khan Murjan - Egyptian, Syrian, Moroccan and Turkish.

Ruane Jewellers, based on the upper level of the Moroccan Quarter of Khan Murjan, offers a charming collection of jewellery made of precious stones and diamonds.

The selection of jewellery varies depending on the season.

The most common stones for summer jewellery are garnets, emeralds, pearls and coloured stones.

What differenciates Ruane Jewellers from other jewellery boutiques is that the jewellery designed is only one of its kind; this maintains the uniqueness of the different pieces of art.

The designs are very detailed, with an eye to bring out the distinctiveness in each piece created.

One such exclusive piece being a bangle made of ruby.

Some designs are mixed pieces such as diamonds with amethyst in different styles.
Another feature of Ruane Jewellers is it designs antique jewellery such as the "Peacock" set of necklace and earrings.

It also designs hair accessories made of precious stones that adds to the crowning glory of its beholder.

Ruane Jewellers created a whole line of semi precious jewellery for the Dubai Summer Surprises 2008.

"Having Ruane Jewellers open in Khan Murjan is a great opportunity," said Victoria Smith, Group Marketing Director, Wafi.

"The amazing jewellery collection from Ruane Jewellers compliments Wafi's retail mix with its high quality of artistic pieces."

Ruane Jewellers currently have three branches in the Middle East and one in India with more future plans.
