Only a decade after pioneering district cooling in the region, Tabreed has been receiving awards regionally and internationally, a testimony to its vision of becoming a world leader in district cooling.
Tabreed received one gold award for the total square footage for its GCC operations, three silver awards for the total number of buildings operated in the GCC, total square footage and number of buildings in UAE. Consequently, the two bronze awards were given for Tabreed's Qatar and Jordan operations.
"Receiving all these recognitions from IDEA are a testimony for Tabreed to spread its vision of creating a revolutionary cooling concept in the Middle East region as well as facilitate the community into saving energy for future use. Tabreed as the world's largest district cooling company validates our mission of providing environmental friendly cooling solutions,"
said Dany Safi, CEO of Tabreed also known as National Central Cooling Company (PJSC).
Previously, the company has been taking home top honours for two consecutive IDEA awards, winning in the 'Beyond North America' region for Total Buildings Committed or Connected to Service and Total Square Footage in 2004 and 2006.
"With only ten years of operations, Tabreed's achievements are phenomenal and with the continuous growth of real estate development in the Middle East, we can look forward to more years of sustained growth from the region," said Rob Thornton, President of IDEA.
Additionally, Tabreed was honoured with the Global Partner award and its Chief Executive Officer, Dany Safi, scooped the Global Pioneer accolade from the previous IDEA at its first gathering of its Middle East chapter in Abu Dhabi.
