An honorary trophy was presented to Cisco during a prestigious event to demonstrate the hospital's appreciation to Cisco for providing an innovative network solution that is specialized for healthcare facilities, and sharing the hospital's vision of building a world class hospital in Egypt.

Hospital 57357 is one of the first success stories of a successful end-to-end all Cisco connected healthcare implementation in the region. With the results achieved today, the implementation has set new standards for planning and operating hospitals, defining future best practice for healthcare-related institutions and providers in Egypt. The Cisco-based infrastructure has been highly successful to Hospital 57357 in more ways than one. First, it has enabled the hospital to raise the quality of healthcare provision by giving clinical staff rapid, secure access to online patient records and medical images from anywhere in the building. This, in turn, allowed Hospital 57357 medical staffs to access accurate and up-to-date patient information that help them treat patients more quickly and efficiently.

Cisco Unified Communications solutions are a major component and as an integration point for a wide variety of inter-staff communication systems. Helping hospital staff and systems collaborate and share information efficiently, securely and with highest levels of security and reliability. A core infrastructure comprising Cisco Catalyst 3650 and 6500 Series Switches supports a campus-wide Cisco wireless network and enables IP telephony, using Cisco Unified Communications Manager technology that provides call processing for Cisco Unified IP phones.

Thanks to the wireless infrastructure, everyone on the campus - patients, visitors and hospital staff - can have access to the Internet via fast and secure connections. This service has helped increase mobility, hence responsive of staff and their service to patients.
