Dubai launches comms agency

The Dubai Government has launched a wireless communications agency specialising in distance radio communications. The new company, Nedaa, will provide secure radio communications that can be used in remote areas inaccessible to regular phone lines. The majority of public sector branches and emergency services in Dubai and the Northern Emirates have subscribed, as have a number of Dubai Holding companies.
