Flexibility of space and increased build days were key factors in the decision to hold the popular exhibition at Dubai Airport Expo.

SGI 2009 will showcase the latest products and emerging technologies from the industries of Advertising, Architectural Hardware, Banners & Posters, Digital Imaging, Electronic Message Centres, Electronic Signage, Graphic Imaging, Graphic Services, Large Format Printing, and Signage.

"Dubai Airport Expo is conveniently located adjacent to Dubai International Airport. Built on a flexible frame structure, this modern venue offers state of art infrastructure to meet truly world class hosting standards. There are many benefits to us hosting SGI 2009 at this venue: hall sizes are much bigger than those at DIEC, parking and access is easier, and we can take on more build up days - as this show involves large machines which take more than a couple of days to assemble,"

explained Abdul Rehman Falaknaz, President of IEC.

SGI 2009 will dominate Dubai Airport Expo when it takes place in February, with visibility and branding opportunities for exhibitors adding to their overall exposure at the show.

This year's Sign and Graphic Imaging show attracted over 300 exhibitors from 28 countries. Already 90% of these exhibitors have confirmed participation at next year's event, with most taking on larger stand space.

Among the list of exhibitors already confirmed for SGI 2009 are Hewlett Packard, Ghandi Innovations, Flex Europa, 3M and Obeikan Technical Fabrics.

"The local industry offers tremendous opportunities across all segments of the signage, digital, retail and advertising industries. SGI 2009 is poised to become the definitive index for this specialised industry sector," said Falaknaz.

"As with every year, SGI will reflect the changing trends in Signage, Graphic Imaging, and Digital and Screen Printing industries in the Middle East and the international market. With our new venue, we are looking forward to our largest, and most innovative, show yet," he added.

SGI 2009 will take place at Dubai Airport Expo from February 15 - 17, 2009.

The show is supported by the Advertising Section of Dubai Municipality.
