Jaffer Badwan, GM Investment & Treasury, a new addition to the BisB family

The Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB), the leading Sharia'a complaint bank in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has announced that Jaffer Saleem Badwan has become a member of the Bank's executive management team in the position of General Manager for Investment & Treasury.

Attracting best capabilities and leading figures in the banking sector is part of the BisB's strategy.

With banking experience of nearly 27 years, Jaffer held several management and executive positions in various financial institutions and banks outside Bahrain, including Abu Dhabi National Bank, UAE Central Bank, Kuwait Investment Company and other well established financial firms in the Arabian Gulf region.

A holder of a bachelor degree in economic planning from the University of Aleppo, Syria, Jaffer obtained his master degree in economics from the University of Bridgeport, United States of America. He also attended several specialized courses in banking and investment.

BisB's Chief Executive, Mohammed Ebrahim Mohammed, has said: "We are delighted to have Jaffer joining BisB's family. A well known capable banker, he will be an addition to our investment and treasury services". He congratulated Jaffer and wished him every success.

On his part, Jaffer expressed his delight for joining the Bahrain Islamic Bank and hoped to be an influential and effective member of the Bank's family and to participate in achieving the investment and treasury strategic objectives.

With the highest rate of Bahrainisation among all banks in Bahrain, BisB's family comprises 334 members.
