Labor Ministry and DNRD consider cancellation of Labor Card at external branches

Highlighting the significance of strategic partnerships between various governmental bodies in Dubai to achieve highest levels of customer satisfaction, Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department (DNRD), and the Ministry of Labor, are currently discussing the feasibility of providing Labor Card cancellation service at all DNRD's external branches across the emirate.

If this service is applied, individuals will be able to complete the procedure of cancellation of labor cards at any of DNRD external branches without visiting the Ministry's offices.

A team from DNRD and the Ministry of Labor was formed to study the feasibility of the process and identify the requirements as well as prepare a timeline for the gradual execution of the project across the 12 offices of DNRD in Dubai.

The cooperation details was discussed during a meeting between Humaid bin Dimas, Acting Under-Secretary Ministry of Labor and Major Khalifa Matar Balkobaa', Head of External Center Sector at DNRD, along with a number of employees from both sides.

Bin Dimas expressed satisfaction with the new aspect of the ongoing strategic partnership between MoL and DNRD that will benefit a large number of expatriates and help in reducing the commuting time by using the facilities of the near by DNRD's external branches.

Major Khalifa Matar Balkobaa' commented:

'We constantly strive to provide the best services in Dubai by offering simple procedures to our customers. We have realized the importance of providing a one-stop-visit option through this close collaboration with the Ministry of Labor to assess the needs and administrative requirements, as well as the human and technical resources required to simplify the execution of the project in our various offsite branches across Dubai.'
