Saudi Arabia remains key market for Acer

Acer, the world's third largest PC vendor, has expanded its channel network in KSA by signing on Hasoub as an executive partner to further service Middle East's largest IT market which is expected to reach $5bn by 2012, according to research by Business Monitor International (BMI).

Established in 2003, Hasoub is a leading Saudi IT company offering services in computer hardware, network infrastructure components, reliable engineering, technical services, customer care, and on-demand logistical support.

"Acer is one of the leading brands in the Kingdom," said Sami Said Hassan, General Manager Hasoub. "As an executive partner, we are looking to significantly increase Acer's reach in the Kingdom, and help Acer address the needs of this growing market."

With BMI projecting average annual growth in IT spending - at the rate of 12% through 2012 - sales of computers, including PCs, notebooks and accessories, in the kingdom is expected to top $1.4bn in 2008.
