F&E Aerospace bolsters senior management
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, July 09 - 2008 at 11:04
F&E Aerospace, the company behind top Middle East aviation events such as the Dubai Airshow and Aircraft Interiors Middle East (AIME), has bolstered its senior management team with the appointment of Heather Rezek as General Manager.
In addition, Rezek - a British national with over 12 years industry experience - will direct the building of F&E Aerospace's contacts in key new business areas and strengthen the company's existing relations with currently aligned organisations.
Rezek's appointment comes hard on the heels of F&E Aerospace's recent announcement that its five strong events portfolio is anticipated to attract over 1,500 aviation companies and 60,000 trade professionals to the UAE in the next 18 months.
"The appointment of Heather offers us an added dimension to further drive our current and proposed events' business strategies, both in the Middle East and the emerging market of Asia and the sub-continent," said Alison Weller, Director - F&E Aerospace.
"Heather has a strong pedigree of managing and developing international events and has a solid understanding of the Middle East; a must for driving forward our core objectives. The company has set ambitious business targets over the coming two years and Heather will be a key player in F&E Aerospace realising these."
Rezek has a wealth of regional and international professional experience in the exhibition, software and media industries.
Having started her UAE career at Messe Frankfurt, where she held the post of Operations Manager for three years, Rezek oversaw 15 annual trade and consumer exhibitions.
She was then promoted to Head of Operations and was on the company's Senior Management Advisory Committee. A promotion to the sales department as Group Exhibitions Manager shortly followed, before she later took over the role of Director of Consumer Goods Shows.
In this position, she was responsible for the company's largest revenue earning exhibition, Beautyworld Middle East and its sister show; Wellness & Spas Middle East as well as the Toy Fair Middle East and International CES Hometech Middle East.
