A top-class team of designers has been assembled by Al Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel, to turn the Prince Sultan Grand Hall into a multi-million Riyal 'New Arabesque' ballroom in time for the start of the Holy Month.

Details of the special design features - based on Arabesque architecture and a series of fountains - are being kept under wraps for the time being. But the hotel says guests will be dazzled by what they find inside the Grand Hall, which is the largest public column-free space in the Kingdom.

'We've commissioned some of the most forward-thinking, creative design teams in the Middle East to come up with a unique experience for guests to break the fast,'

said Wolfgang Pachler, Managing Director, Al Faisaliah Hotel.

'This is an entirely new concept in Riyadh, and it goes beyond what our guests normally expect during the Holy Month of Ramadan. We're not giving anything more away at this stage, but we can promise that there will be no better way to enjoy Iftar or Sohour, with the dining experience complimented by a very imaginative interpretation of traditional Arabesque architecture,' he added.

The award-winning hotel is expecting to welcome more than 20,000 guests during Ramadan.

Covering an area of 49,970 sq ft, the Prince Sultan Grand Hall has a capacity for 2,800 diners and is the largest and most flexible venue of its kind in Saudi.

The hotel, a landmark at the heart of the city's Olaya district, has won three nominations in this year's World Travel Awards. Al Faisaliah Hotel has been nominated as the Middle East's Leading Hotel, Saudi Arabia's Leading Business Hotel and Saudi Arabia's Leading Hotel.

The Middle East winners will be announced at a glittering 'Oscars' style World Travel Awards event in Abu Dhabi on 28th October.
