The product is being released by the Sage Group in 35 countries to address companies in the enterprise manufacturing sector, including companies in the Middle East.

"The Sage ERP X3 platform has dramatically expanded its market reach within the last two years," said Marc Van der Ven, managing director, Sage Software ME.

"The new release's rapidly expanding international customer base is the best guarantee for our customers to benefit from more and more R&D investment over the coming years."

The manufacturing sector is one of several major economic sectors beside construction, trading and services on which the region is counting for its drive of economic diversification. Having flexible, customized and affordable management solutions has become a major requirement to support the rapid growth of this sector.

Sage ERP X3 v5 addresses the management demands of the manufacturing sectors as it integrates all the enterprise's information and business processes within one single software system and database, allowing users to get an extensive view of their activity in real time, no matter where data has been created or stored.

The system manages finance, sales, inventory, CRM, purchasing and manufacturing operations globally and streamlines all of the enterprise's processes. The information propagates in real time to all parts of a business: an issued order has an impact on stock levels, production, accounting, etc. Plus, the embedded Workflow functions allow a company to automate the flow of information within and outside of the business based on company-specific work practices and procedures for handling important and exceptional events.

The Sage ERP X3 provides for all of the planning, scheduling and production control activities for either process or discrete manufacturing, and adapts to different manufacturing modes, including make-to-order, configure-to-order, assemble-to-order, make-to-stock and mixed-mode environments. The manufacturing module is fully integrated with the Sales, CRM, Purchasing, Inventory and Finance components.

"We are very pleased that we can now offer such extensive automation solutions to our manufacturing clients in the Middle East," said Marc Van der Ven.

"The new version of Sage ERP X3 holds a unique position within the Sage portfolio of ERP products as it is available on a worldwide basis. It is by far the most efficient, cost effective, easy to use, best management solution available for the manufacturing sector."
