Singapore Garden Festival returns to draw large number of Middle East-based visitors

Middle East-based travelers visiting Singapore this month can take advantage of The Singapore Garden Festival, happening from 25 July to 1 August 2008.
The Singapore Garden Festival is the first garden show in the tropics to showcase creations from the world's top award-winning garden and floral designers under one roof.
This one-week event is expected to receive thousands of visitors from all over the world looking to discover artistic floral designs and garden displays from famous designers, with special festival highlights including landscape gardens, fantasy gardens, and the highly anticipated Singapore Orchid Show.
"Middle East-based holiday makers have always loved Singapore's wholesome family friendly events and activities. With the return of the Singapore Garden Festival, travelers from the region will be able to experience nature in unique ways in addition to the other famous tourist sites in Singapore," said Jason Ong, Area Director, Middle East and Africa, Singapore Tourism Board.
The 2006 edition of The Singapore Garden Festival was a huge success where it received over 40,000 international visitors, making the event one of the top international flower and garden shows in the tropics.
The Landscape and Fantasy Gardens will feature creations by local designers and top award-winning garden designers from around the world including Australia, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, News Zealand, South Africa, UK, and the US.
The Floral Windows to the World section of the festival will feature an array of cut-flower displays and floral masterpieces with dramatic set design and lighting from Belgium, France, India, Norway, Macau and more.
In addition, the Garden Festival will also feature the much-awaited Singapore Orchid Show. The Singapore Orchid Show is set to be a huge success where it will showcase Southeast Asia's rich and diverse heritage of orchids and offer guests a dazzling display of one of the most diverse members of the botanical family.
