IMC-Jordan stresses the important role consultants and management trainers play in economic development

IMC Jordan organized a meeting with the media at Radisson SAS Hotel to introduce IMC-Jordan's duties, responsibilities and the purposes IMC-Jordan wishes to achieve, through their different activities.

Mr. Fariz Barakat, Deputy Chairman of IMC-Jordan's Board of Directors, gave a clear idea about the nature of work that IMC-Jordan is doing. It is a not-for-profit professional association that applies a high standard code of ethics; it is governed by internationally applied rules and principles being a member of The International Council of Management Consulting Institutes ICMCI.

Mr. Fariz gave a briefing about the Institute right from its inception; he stated the different development stages and the latest methods adopted by the institute to achieve success both locally and internationally.

IMC-Jordan is considered to be the only Jordanian and Arab member of the (ICMCI) which authorized it to promote management consultation in Jordan and the region and to offer the Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation to its members.

IMC-Jordan thus achieved local and world-wide recognition through its various projects and activities.

Responding to the questions of journalists regarding the facts and future expectations of the management consultation and training sectors in Jordan, Mr. Barkat emphasized that this sector has witnessed a remarkable progress in the last few years both locally and regionally as a result of the tremendous increase of investment and cash-flow to the region.

This, of course, increased the demand on management consultation and training to efficiently direct these investments in the right track. Jordanian consultants and trainers proved their credibility and high qualifications both locally and regionally.

Mr. Barakat expects that this demand will hopefully continue and therefore the need is now becoming very urgent to pass on a legislation to officially organize these two professions namely management consultation and management training to sustain the high technical services offered.

IMC-Jordan is now working in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Sector Development to formulate and develop this legislation.

IMC Jordan continuously seeks to maintain the high level standards by adopting and applying the latest development training methods in accordance with the international standards,to coincide with modern consultation concepts to help them excel in this field both internally and externally.

It also aims to develop the services concept with regard to consultation services and training always taking into account market requirements and members' needs.
