Gulf Finance House appoints Knight Frank on GARE II

Knight Frank, the leading independent global property consultancy, has been instructed by Gulf Finance House, a leading GCC based Islamic Investment Bank, to provide real estate advice on its Gulf Atlantic Real Estate Fund Ï, a Shari'ah compliant property fund which expects to capitalise on UK property opportunities.

Jeremy Waters, partner, Knight Frank, said: "UK commercial property values have declined significantly over the last six months. However, with yields moving out at as much as 200 basis points as a result, there are now buying opportunities in core locations.

"We are in a market place where some property owners need to sell and with a shortage of buyers, core assets are being discounted heavily. For the right property we certainly see this as an attractive buying opportunity.

"Core property fundamentals are of paramount importance in any stock selection. With our knowledge of the UK market, we expect to deliver the fund opportunities at locations and price levels where we can expect excellent future returns."
