- PRESS RELEASE
Dany Kattar, the executive Chef of InterContinental Mzaar, was one of the 6 international jurors, who were judging this year's HORECA cooking event, which qualified winners to participate in 2009 in the Bocus d'Or of Asia, World Pastry Cup or World Bread Cup.
Kattar explains: "More than 100 chefs from local hotels, restaurants and pastries competed in 10 categories of this very successful Salon Culinaire. Young participants were given the opportunity to prove their skills and be creative; an excellent way for them to be recognized among devoted professionals, hence improving themselves much faster."
Chef Dany has over 10 years experience in the hospitality industry, working in numerous hotels all over the world.
He joined InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in 2000 at InterContinental Phoenicia Beirut, then moved to InterContinental Saint Julien Malta, and later to InterContinental Doha, holding the position of Executive Sous-Chef.
He reached the position of Executive Chef at Holiday Inn Downtown, Kuwait, before finally joining the InterContinental Mzaar team in December 2006.
