The all-smiling BJ Mathews of Sheraton Doha Resort & Convention Hotel has recently been granted with the Starwood President Award by the Starwood Hotels & Resort Worldwide, Inc. The award was presented to him by the General Manager of Sheraton Doha, Mr. Gerhard Foltin.

BJ Mathews is a much focused manager and actively involves himself with the day to day operations and renovations of the hotel. He takes extra efforts to ensure the smooth operation of the Engineering Department. He also conducts regular training to all his subordinates for their improvement and development.

A multi-skilled individual, BJ Mathews, has contributed a lot for the major projects of the hotel mainly the guest floors renovations which has enhanced the hotel image and to better guests satisfaction. He has already proved his caliber by winning awards and honors like the Starwood Presidents award in the year 1994 and 1998 while with Sheraton Gulf Hotel and the best opening award in 2000.

Upon presentation of the award, Gerhard Foltin added:

"BJ is a leader who leads by example and an asset to the property and has excellent co-ordination with the hotel owners and management."

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. annually grants Starwood President Award to high-caliber associates who have served the company in an extraordinary way.
