Watani and Princess Haya Cultural Islamic Centres introduce lectures about dealing successfully with children

Effective communication is one of the most important factors that spread stability and peacefulness in the society, to this principle the high profile speakers addressed a variety of topics covering basic guidelines in dealing successfully with children and getting rid of obstacles that block effective communication between the older and the younger generation and vice-versa.
This strategic partnership came as a natural result to contribute to the social development of the UAE by offering informative and enlightening events for students, their parents and the general public.
Dr. Muhammad Al Nahas, the Founder and Manager of 'The International Centre for Counseling, Communication and Training' spoke about 'How to Deal with Children' in a lecture that was jointly organized by Watani and Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein's Cultural Islamic Centers, with an emphasis on applying the best techniques in starting a constructive dialogue with children by analyzing youngsters' tone of voice to identify their temperament and offer various solutions respectively.
Infusing productive attitudes in children's mindset, enhancing their self-esteem and creating positive thinking and good habits in younger generations are key elements to happiness as depicted by Professor, Asmaa Al Sayegh, General Manager of Al Tahaddi Training, Counseling and Marketing Center and Manager of Al Noor Social and Educational Counseling and Training Center, during her lecture titled "Explore Yourself to Activate the Family Role".
The last lecture focused on children's expectations from parents which was presented by Professor Shareef Sabbaq, Instructor and Certified Speaker of the Human Development Seminars. His lecture highlighted from an Islamic point of view the responsibilities of the parents towards their homes and their children.
Tips on understanding children's behaviours were presented by Mustafa Abdul Aal, The Educational Consultant at Watani Programme during his lecture entitled 'Our Children Aren't Listening...Why?'. The lecture was an eye opener for parents who attended the event; it demonstrated the various reasons behind children becoming stubborn and prompted parents to start and open effective communication channels with them.
These lectures are part of Watani's initiatives to encourage better communication between the generations and part of its drive to connect the past that form our heritage to the future that is represented by our kids. The cooperation with Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein's Cultural Islamic Centers is one of a wide array of strategic partnerships that "Watani" has formed with various organizations in the country which share a common objective including a cooperation with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).
