Abu Dhabi University signs an MOU with the Securities & Investment Institute

Abu Dhabi University (ADU) today announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Securities and Investment Institute (SII) to meet the professional training and development needs of the United Arab Emirates.

The key objective of ADU's collaboration with this very reputable organization is to make it possible for the University to offer a number of internationally recognized qualifications and accredited programs to the UAE finance and investment industry.

Dr. Nabil Ibrahim, ADU Chancellor and Mr George Littlejohn, the Director of Global Business Development of SII signed the MoU in the presence of a number of senior staff members from both of the two institutions.

Dr. Nabil Ibrahim, ADU Chancellor, said:

"This partnership between SII and Abu Dhabi University is a leading academic and vocational initiative between our two institutions. We are pleased to partner with such a highly reputable and widely respected professional body in the financial and banking sector in the UK and the world."


He also added, "The primary objective for this collaboration is to make available, to the UAE finance and investment industry, a number of internationally recognized qualifications and accredited programs. The Investment Administration Qualifications; the International Certificate in Investment Management (ICertIM); the Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ); the International Certificate in Financial Advice (ICFA) and the Advanced Certificate and Diploma qualifications as appropriate are some of the qualifications that will be offered by Abu Dhabi University."

Dr. Nabil A. Ibrahim also said:

"Our strategy at ADU is to partner with world-class institutions on academic as well as vocational programs that enable our graduates to lead in the marketplace as successful professionals. Our partnership with SII is a manifestation of such strategy. This partnership offers our students an opportunity to gain excellent knowledge and acquire professional certification in a broad range of internationally recognized Securities & Investment certificates including Islamic Banking."


George Littlejohn, SII Director of Global Business Development said, "We are delighted to have formed this relationship with Abu Dhabi University.
