The GMnext website is specially designed to encourage feedback and interaction among young people around the world, stimulate their interest in cars and allow them to share their concerns on energy, the environment and the globalization.
The website has something for everyone, including plug-in sections that showcase music, blogs, RSS feeds and podcasts.
For those who eat, drink and breathe cars, a dedicated featured content section offers a range of amazing videos, including the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 topping out at 330 kph, Kid Rock and Mary J Blige at the 2008 GM Style event and the Cadillac CTS-V breaking records at the Nurburgring.
What's more, the GMnext website provides enthusiasts with the chance to chat live with designers and engineers working on the cars of the future.
The youth-targeted website also features the GMWiki, where users can share their personal experiences from the company's first 100 years by creating their own stories with pictures and videos and getting comments and feedback from other visitors.
"With this unique, interactive GMnext website, we are proud to provide an opportunity to young people around the globe to log on and share their views on issues concerning the world today. At the same time they can discover more about what goes on behind the scenes at GM,"
said Samantha Kayruz, Consumer Marketing Manager, with special responsibility for the youth market, at General Motors Middle East.
General Motors will celebrate its 100th birthday on 16th September 2008 and this unique website is just one of the many exciting initiatives and events that will be taking place throughout the year, under the banner of GMnext, to mark this special occasion.
