TOTAL incorporates the first two service stations under its umbrella

TOTAL, one of the world's top four oil companies recently signed an agreement with Mr. Kamal Al Nobani, owner of two service stations in Jordan.

According to the agreement, TOTAL shall have full supervision and management rights for both service stations.

TOTAL is giving the Jordanian market utmost importance, granting its new affiliate the opportunity to benefit from the powerful leadership position the company holds in the fuel and energy resource arenas.

The agreement was signed by the Managing Director of TOTAL Jordan, Mr. Arnaud Guichard, and Mr. Kamal Al Nobani in the presence of the Chairman and Head of Middle-East and North-Africa region for TOTAL Refining and Marketing, Mr. Francois de Ligniville. The signing ceremony took place at TOTAL Jordan's offices.

Commenting on the signed agreement, Mr. Francois de Ligniville declared, "This first initiative for TOTAL serves to strengthen our position in the Jordanian market. We are proud to contribute to the development of the Jordanian fuel sector. The Company holds plans to explore, and for that matter, utilize the investment opportunities that this particular sector provides. By signing this agreement, we are taking the first phase towards helping to enhance quality within other related entities working in this field."

Mr. de Ligniville further added that:

"The Jordanian market is an opportunity for TOTAL and offers great prospects. We endeavor to find ways of meeting the needs and the demands of Jordan's fuel sector. The agreement is an initial step towards promoting our brand in this local dynamic market. The choice of these two particular service stations was made due to their strategic locations in the capital city, Amman, and for their great potential."


The owner of the service stations, Mr. Kamal Al Nobani commented, "I am very proud to be signing this agreement with one of the largest international oil companies. I think this affiliation presents a turning point in the fuel industry in Jordan. With TOTAL having world-leading expertise in the fuel sector, we are certain that our joint collaboration will optimize levels of services in this field".
