EFG signs $157m deal for new plant

Emirates Float Glass has signed a Dhs575m ($157m) contract with an Italian engineering firm, Ianua, for the construction and supervision of its second float glass manufacturing facility in Abu Dhabi that would raise its production capacity to 1,200 tonnes per day. The new plant, which complements the company's existing production unit in the Abu Dhabi Industrial City, will enable Emirates Float Glass to become the largest single-location float glass manufacturing facility in the region, according to a statement.
