Following on from the success of the first XKR Portfolio model launched in 2007, the latest edition will be available in select global markets that include the Middle East. Available as a coupe or convertible, the Portfolio variant enhances the XKR's already powerful presence with increased sporting styling cues, even greater technology and luxury.

'he XKR Portfolio takes sporting excellence and premium ownership to a unique and higher level. The car combines distinctive styling with luxurious interior touches to create a model that is a supreme Grand Tourer with the performance and dynamics of a true sports car. The Jaguar XKR epitomises Jaguar's commitment to creating beautiful, fast cars,'

said Mark Eedle, Regional Sales and Marketing Manager for Jaguar Middle East and North Africa.

Advanced lightweight aluminium body construction sits atop the 420bhp supercharged 4.2 litre V8 engine which is capable of hitting an electronically controlled top speed of 155mph and can accelerate to 60mph in just 4.9 seconds. The car features new high-performance braking system with 400mm front discs and 350mm rear discs - the largest ever fitted to a production Jaguar.

Visually the XKR Portfolio is distinguished by key design details that include an enhanced front bumper, a red Jaguar 'Heritage' centre badge and aluminium-finish grilles and side power vents. The exclusive Shadow Grey exterior paint and 20-inch sparkle finish Selena alloy wheels add to the overall presence and uniqueness.

A blend of luxury and sporting cues further differentiate the XKR Portfolio's interior from the XKR with the choice of a new Rich Oak veneer or Engine Spin Aluminium with Piano Black centre console and soft-grain, contrast stitched leather throughout the cabin. An alloy and leather gear selector with alloy surround, unique treadplates with Portfolio script and Alston luxury headlining complete the bespoke feel of the interior.

Taking Jaguar's 525W Premium Audio system with Pro Logic II surround sound as a starting point, Bowers & Wilkins have tuned a signature speaker system specifically for the XKR Portfolio's cabin.

The XKR portfolio is available in select showrooms across the Middle East from August 2008.
