Children's City joins global campaign, 'Blessing of the Worlds'

The Children's City is participating in the global campaign called 'Blessing of the Worlds' launched by the Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department under the slogan, 'Peaceful co-existence of nations aim for all.'
The campaign aims to project the importance of interaction between local and international communities and strengthening peaceful co-existence of nations. The Children's City is supporting the campaign by holding seminars and research contests with the participation of children and visitors to the City and also by providing information and brochures regarding the campaign.
Makiya Al Hajiri, Head of Children's City said this is an awareness campaign aimed at keeping away from any kind of conflicts between religions. "This campaign also comes as part of the best objectives and strategies of the UAE to achieve world peace. It is also an important part of the contributions of the UAE at the international level and its efforts to solve the regional problems," she said.
"It is also an effort to further the idea of creating a new dimension to the system of the dialogue between cultures and religions and to reach a better understanding of the religion of Islam, which adopts the principles of love and peace, and discard all reasons for violence and extremism and create an environment of harmony that provides a better understanding of all religions and cultures of the world," Al Hajiri said.
She said the programmes and activities of the Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department at the Children's City include seminars and lectures participated by scholars and specialists, cultural and recreational competitions and scientific research contests on the life of the Prophet (PBUH) called "Methods of co-existence with others" from 5 to 6 pm, and a film show in English.
In addition to that there was a scientific research contest called, "How do we become a model for others like the Prophet (PBUH)." This was held on 14th July from 5 to 6 pm. Another activity called, "Study and read about the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)" was held on 15th July from 5 to 6 pm.
Winners of the scientific research contests in Arabic and English will be announced on 21st December and certificates will be distributed during the concluding ceremony.
