"This is an amazing opportunity for me, and I am very proud to be the person chosen to represent the United Arab Emirates and Dubai at such a historical event,"
said Haneen Al Tal.
In 2006 Ms. Al Tal was nominated to represent the UAE at The Global Young Leader Conference in Washington D.C where she had the opportunity to meet influential world leaders such as UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and Condoleezza Rice, the 66th United States Secretary of State.
Dubai Sports City recognised Ms. Al Tal's talent and was impressed with her track record of success.
"At Dubai Sports City, we fully support leadership development, not only in sports but academically as well. Ms. Al Tal has displayed incredible leadership potential over the years, and we are proud to be able to help her achieve her goals,"
said Mr Khalid Al Zarooni, President, Dubai Sports City.
The UPIC offers members of select honor societies the opportunity to take part in and personally witness the historic event of the presidential inauguration and challenges students to greatly enhance their understanding of a presidential campaign.
Ms. Al Tal graduated from Al-Ittihad Private School in 2006 and is currently working at the British Embassy while completing her Bachelor of Finance and Banking at Dubai University.
