Dubai Sports City supports UAE student's visit to US Presidential Inauguration

Supported by Dubai Sports City, Haneen Arar Al Tal, a student from Dubai University, has been invited to attend the University Presidential Inaugural Conference (UPIC) in Washington, DC to witness the inauguration of the 44th President of the United States.

Ms. Al Tal, 19 year-old, will have the opportunity to meet international political leaders, and inspirational speakers.

"This is an amazing opportunity for me, and I am very proud to be the person chosen to represent the United Arab Emirates and Dubai at such a historical event,"


said Haneen Al Tal.

In 2006 Ms. Al Tal was nominated to represent the UAE at The Global Young Leader Conference in Washington D.C where she had the opportunity to meet influential world leaders such as UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and Condoleezza Rice, the 66th United States Secretary of State.

Dubai Sports City recognised Ms. Al Tal's talent and was impressed with her track record of success.

The UPIC offers members of select honor societies the opportunity to take part in and personally witness the historic event of the presidential inauguration and challenges students to greatly enhance their understanding of a presidential campaign.

Ms. Al Tal graduated from Al-Ittihad Private School in 2006 and is currently working at the British Embassy while completing her Bachelor of Finance and Banking at Dubai University.
