Omantel inks cable deal with Mena

Omantel has entered an agreement with the Middle East and North Africa Company (MENA) of Egypt for the laying of 8,000km submarine fibre optics cable on the Omani coast, Khaleej Times has reported. The cable aims to benefit Oman's international connection, as the cable passes through locations including Sicily, Italy, Crete, Alexandria and Suez in Egypt, Jeddah and India.
