Ahli Bank launches MyHassad Saving Scheme

Ahli Bank, Oman, has launched the Sultanate's most innovative saving scheme, MyHassad, for all Oman's residents.

The saving plan will initially have a daily draw of OMR 1,000.

Customers maintaining a minimum balance of OMR100 in MyHassad account will be eligible for the draw, each OMR100 held in the account will entail the customer 1 chance to win.

MyHassad's inaugural draw will be held on July 20, 2008. As a special inaugural offer, Ahli Bank will multiply the chances the customer has to win by the number of working days the balance was held in the account.

The consecutive daily draws will continue from there on with chances being calculated based on the available balance on the previous working day.

Every customer is eligible on a daily basis with a minimum deposit; however, there is no limit of maximum investment.

Outlining the salient features of the scheme, Mr. Manoj Kumar Nambiar, Deputy CEO of Retail Banking at Ahli Bank said:

"We have focused on maximizing the opportunity to win for our costumers in this scheme - just OMR 100 to participate - every OMR 100 gives you a chance and every day you have a chance to win. This means, open MyHassad account today with a minimum balance and win tomorrow. If you don't win you could tomorrow, you have a chance to win the day after and so on every working day."


This year will witness the launch of highly competitive and well-researched products and services and MyHassad's launch is one of the many initiatives designed to reflect Ahli Bank's customer-centric objectives for 2008, commented CEO Mr. AbdulAziz Al Balushi.

"MyHassad is our way of saying thank you to our customers and we're happy to be able to present this unique product to all Oman's residents. Our intention is to encourage the concept of saving, even if it means starting small and nurturing those savings to help our customers realise their bigger goals and aspirations," added Mr. Al Balushi.

The savings scheme mirrors the region's popular raffle saving scheme concept but distinguishes itself by uniquely addressing customers' need for a saving solution. "Our focus is to continue introducing new services, diversify and accelerate the development of products", he added.

The Bank has successfully launched new deposit products and loan products which are competing with the best products in the market.

These include MyLoan, a consumer loan for Omanis and expatriates, MyHome, the home loan from the experts in housing finance; MyHadeya fixed deposit with upfront interest payment, MySmart short-term deposit with a check book facility and MySaver savings accounts.
