Mayflex holds African Excel Training days

The three day course, in association with CNet Training (Mayflex's training partner), took place at the Movenpick Hotel in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, with 18 delegates.

Excel is a complete end to end networking cabling system, widely recognised for exceptional value for money, performance and support. Manufactured to international quality standards, Excel is covered by a comprehensive no-nonsense single warranty programme.

Over the course of three days, topics covered are: installation; testing; labelling; documentation and; health and safety procedures relating to both copper and fibre cabling, along with Excel system design.

Upon successful completion of the training, delegates are then authorized to install the complete range of Excel structured cabling products. Accredited partners of the system can then look forward to a number of benefits as explained by Gary Highton, Managing Director at Mayflex Middle East: "Becoming an Excel partner enables the installer access to a range of support products, services and initiatives such as literature support, pre-sales support and sales training days free of charge. Prior to this, accreditation is only awarded after a series of qualification procedures. Once an application has been received and accepted, attendance at the Excel Installation training course, such as the one we have just completed in Tanzania, must take place for accreditation to be awarded."

After the success of the Tanzanian course, Mayflex is now planning to hold its next Excel Installation Training course in Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria and Sri Lanka in the coming months.
