Taking place in Amman between Monday July 14 and Tuesday 15, 2008, the Conference was organized by the Arab Thought Forum and under the patronage of the Forum Chairman, HRH Prince Al-Hassan Bin Talal.

During the 2 day event, light was shed on means and measures to strengthen the role of youth as catalysts for social development.

Aimed at deepening the spirit of social responsibility amongst younger citizens, the Conference speakers positioned youth as the base for the Jordanian renaissance.

Topics discussed during the Conference included, institutions and youth concerns, networking and communication, the employment market from the youth perspective, and many other pressing issues.

The CEO/General Manager of JCBank, Dr. Jawad Al Hadid said:

'We have been inspired to endorse this Conference, as the subject matters it encompasses agree with our conviction in the pivotal role played by our youth as builders of healthier and more citizen friendly future communities. The youth of today are the potential composite of our Country. They are the steering force behind our development.'

He also added, 'It is our duty to empower young citizens as they constitute a substantial segment of our demographic make-up. We also depend on the younger generations of the community since they are the builders of brighter tomorrows for Jordan'.

It is important to note that JCBank constantly supports the ongoing activities and conferences that advocate corporate social responsibility.

Such contributions will raise the social, cultural and economic duties of the community, which, in turn, would increase income for Jordanian families.
