This means that whoever obtains the Arab Certified Public Accountant (ACPA) certificate from ASCA can be licensed to practice certified accounting in the Yemeni Republic.

ASCA Chairman, Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh received a letter in this regard from Mr. Iqbal Yassin Bahadar, Yemeni deputy minister for Trade Affairs, Ministry of Industry and Trade and head of the Certified Accounting Committee, in which he explained that the accreditation came as part of numerous revisions the Ministry is introducing to the law that regulates accounting profession. These revisions aim at making accounting more consistent with global developments, especially in light of the negotiations for the Yemeni Republic to join the World Trade Organization.

Many Arab countries have already accredited ASCA's certificate which qualifies its holder to practice certified accounting.

It is worth noting that ASCA's curriculum was prepared in accordance with international standards recognized by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). Exams are held annually by ASCA in 35 centers throughout various Arab cities.

Also, the ASCA certificate is accredited by University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and is issued with the signatures and logos of both ASCA and CIE.
