Highlight of Qatar Airways' presence was an order for up to six Airbus A321 aircraft - four firm and two on option. Al Baker announced the deal with Airbus President and Chief Executive Officer Tom Enders at a packed press conference on day two of the show.

said Al Baker.
The Farnborough Airshow, which celebrated its 60th anniversary this year, attracted tens of thousands of visitors and over 1,500 exhibitors, making it the largest show to date.
Static and aerial displays of military and civilian aircraft were a key feature at Farnborough and many visitors took advantage of being able to get up close to the industry's latest products, as well as vintage aircraft. Highlights included the Airbus A380, the largest passenger aircraft in the world, and a trademark Farnborough display by the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team - The Red Arrows.
Qatar Airways operates a young and modern fleet of 62 Boeing and Airbus aircraft to 83 cities across Europe, Middle East, Africa, South Asia, Far East and North America. The airline currently has outstanding orders for more than 200 aircraft worth over $30bn.
