Etisalat debuts at South East Asia Com

Etisalat today announced its participation at the South East Asia Com exhibition which is taking place in Kuala Lumpur between July 23-24. Etisalat will present for the first time at the show, highlighting its wide portfolio of mobile and signaling services to the region's telecommunications community.

"Etisalat's Carrier and Wholesale Services Division (C&WS) is dedicated to delivering a comprehensive portfolio of high quality wholesale services, extending the reach of mobile operators, carriers and ISPs globally,"


said Ali Amiri, Executive Vice President, Etisalat Carrier and Wholesale Services.

"We operate the Middle East region's most extensive international network, with direct links to over 120 destinations; an international mobile network that reaches over 500 destinations and we are also the region's largest internet hub and regional hub for intercontinental cable systems," he added.

Etisalat C&WS brings its eMobile team to Malaysia, offering a comprehensive one-stop shop for mobile operators. Etisalat's C&WS eMobile package includes the necessary services required to provide roaming services to international operators including signaling service, GPRS roaming exchange (GRX), VSAT and satellite services for making or receiving calls in rural markets or emerging economies and international SMS connectivity through Etisalat's SMS hub.

Etisalat is also to introduce a new service which will allow mobile companies to access up to 510 different roaming agreements through Etisalat's 'Roaming Replicator' service.

"Etisalat today is the largest carrier of voice traffic in the Middle East terminating calls at over 600 destinations, with 120 direct connections and Points of Presence in the UAE, Frankfurt, London, New York, Amsterdam, and Singapore," Ali Amiri continued.

South East Asia Com is the number one meeting place for the communications value chain in the region. It gathers thought leaders and purchasing decision makers from across South East Asia and the wider international community to learn, network and to do business.

South East Asia Com will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia between the 23-24 July and this year's event will also incorporate Mobile Vietnam.
