Royal Jordanian to operate nonstop to Kiev starting mid August

Royal Jordanian announced that it will start operating regular nonstop flights between Amman and Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, effective August 17, 2008.
He added that the company conducted feasibility studies to open this route, particularly that Ukraine enjoys a distinguished geographic position in Eastern Europe. The airline will become a polarization carrier for passengers in the region.
RJ will operate its Embraer 195 aircraft between the two cities, departing from Amman Sundays and Wednesdays. The journey between Amman and Kiev lasts 3:30 hours.
Kiev is the second station RJ opens in 2008. On January 22, the airline inaugurated its first nonstop flight to Hong Kong. With these two destinations, RJ serves 56 cities spread over four continents.
Kiev, with its 3 million people, is an important industrial, scientific, educational and cultural centre of Eastern Europe. It is home to many high-tech industries, higher education institutions and world-famous historical landmarks.
