Kingdom Holding profit up 22% in Q2

Saudi billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal's Kingdom Holding has announced a net profit of SR534.7m ($142.6m) for the second quarter, ended June 30, an increase of 21.8% compared to the same period last year. The company, which specialises in hotel properties and hotel management companies, real estate development, financial services, and technology and media, said improving domestic operations contributed to the growth in profit. Net profit for the first half of this year totalled SR838.5m, resulting in a 15.1% increase compared to the corresponding period last year.
