Kia's Mohave sales to grow in Dubai

Dubai-based Al Majid Motors Company is hoping to sell 400 units of Mohave this year and 750 each year thereafter to increase the firm's present market share of 5.8%. With its full-option unit priced at Dhs135,000 ($37,000), Mohave is Kia's first full-size, seven-seater four-wheel drive designed to appeal to buyers of traditional SUVs looking for higher performance, fuel economy and towing ability. The company said in a statement that consumers in the Middle East and Africa would buy 121,000 units of mid-size SUV-type vehicles this year, with a 15% rise to 139,000 units by 2011.
