Sri Lankan expats to pay duty on goods

Sri Lankan expatriates in the GCC and across the world will soon have to pay customs duty on some electronic and household goods they ship or take home, reported Khaleej Times. A recent Sri Lanka Customs directive imposes varying duties from August 1 on seven items, including television, refrigerator and air-conditioners.
