The training program was conducted by Tanmia in cooperation with Humaid Bin Rashid Al-Nuaimi Foundation for Human Development.

The SMB program covered various topics such as opportunities in the SMB sector; developing entrepreneurial skills; evaluation of business ideas; the right approach and method to set up and plan small businesses; and the challenges faced by the SMB sector.

The participants in the program were also required to present a feasibility study for a given project, covering different aspects such as business potential, management and financing.

"The UAE's small and medium business segment is abound with investment and job opportunities and we are keen to help UAE Nationals make the most of this scenario. We congratulate the candidates who have successfully completed this training program, which provided a well-rounded perspective of the opportunities, scope and challenges in the SMB sector,"

said Feddah Lootah, Acting General Manager, Tanmia.

"The participants in the training program also benefited immensely from the experiences and insight shared by prominent industry figures who have successfully established their own SMBs," added Lootah.

The graduating UAE Nationals received a certificate from the Cambridge Training College, Britain.

They will also be given recommendation letters that they could use while seeking funds for their projects from various institutions focused on financing SMBs.
