Commenting on the agreement, Faisal Galadari, General Manager, Business Group of CBD, said:
"It is our privilege to be one of the first banks to be considered by the UAE Ministry of Finance for this initiative that will save the time of customers and speed up the Department's processes. We have partnered with the Ministry on various projects and seek to remain at the forefront of product innovations for our customers as well as those for residents of the UAE."
Commercial Bank of Dubai also announced that customers can recharge their e-Dirham card through its Attijari online service, which takes the bank's services to a new level.
Noting CBD's enthusiasm for making the new electronic financial sticker initiative a success, Faisal Ali Al-Mansouri, Revenue Department Manager, UAE Ministry of Finance, said:
"We are confident that CBD will provide better support to this fledgling initiative that has customer-centric objectives to facilitate transactions with the Ministry of Interior. UAE residents will benefit from the Dhs20 electronic sticker while paying departure fees at marine and land points. Citizens can use the Dhs40 electronic sticker to pay passport renewal fees at the Department of Naturalization & Residency. We are also pleased to note that CBD will use its entire network of 27 branches spread across the UAE and will reach out to the maximum number of people."
