This sponsorship comes in line with the bank's objectives of supporting the development of sporting activities within the kingdom. The Bahrain Tennis Federation (BTF) represents an important first step for young Bahrainis who have aspirations to pursue sports at a higher level.
The KFH-Bahrain Boys Tennis Circuit is comprised of the best national junior tournaments staged by BTF and its Member clubs nationwide. Clubs are responsible for proposing the best national tournaments for inclusion in the Circuit, subject to the final approval of the BTF Junior Competitions Committee which governs the distribution and grading of Circuit tournaments.
Mahmood Janahi, Vice President of the Bahrain Tennis Federation commented: 'The KFH-Bahrain Boys Tennis Circuit is an important step to develop the skills and experience of Bahrain's youth and is a vital element for the progress of tennis in Bahrain. It aims to encourage participants to perform to their full potential. I believe everyone would benefit from taking part in this endeavor.'
Mr. Abdul Razak Jawahery, Executive Manager at KFH-Bahrain said 'Being active within the communities we serve is at the core of what we strive to achieve. It is essential to be an integral part of the community by playing a responsible role and contributing with substance. We've supported a number of sports-related initiatives throughout the years and we are dedicated to maintaining our participation in the development of sports arena on a national level.
Mr. Sattam Algosaibi Head of Corporate Finance at KFH-Bahrain added 'Currently, we have committed our support until the end of the year 2008. However, it is our intention to become a long term partner with the BTF, so that we can contribute even greater in the nurturing of the talent of Bahrain's top athletes. We believe that supporting Tennis is a perfect match for us as it mirrors the KFH-Bahrain values for performance, integrity and dedication.'
Mr. Abdul Razak Jawahery recently presented the sponsorship cheque to Mr. Mahmood Janahi, Vice President of the Bahrain Tennis Federation at a ceremony held at KFH - Bahrain headquarters in Manama.
