FEWA bill payment and other services available at post offices

Consumers of Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA) will be able to pay bills and fines at Emirates Post post-offices, following an agreement signed yesterday between Emirates Post and FEWA.

The services can be availed of at any of the 95-plus post offices across the UAE.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Mohammed Mohammed Saleh, acting CEO, FEWA, and Mr. Ahmed Al Badi, acting CEO of Emirates Post, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.

'The new facility of paying FEWA bills and fines through post offices reflects our commitment to easing procedures and providing more efficient alternatives. The large network of Emirates Post will provide great convenience to our customers. We have full confidence in the efficiency of the Emirates Post sophisticated system that links all the post offices in the UAE,'



remarked Mohamed Mohamed Saleh.

'Our POS system is used by a number of government departments to offer services to their customers. We constantly strive to provide reliable and high quality services that guarantee customer satisfaction,' said Faisal Al Nuaimi, acting Assistant CEO, Development & Marketing Affairs, Emirates Post.

'Our sophisticated system has a direct link to FEWA computerized system which will provide real-time transaction information to FEWA offices. In the next phase, we plan to send customers' bills to P.O. boxes, to cater to market requirements,' he added.

Among those present at the signing ceremony were Ibrahim Khadem, Head of PR, Emirates Post, Ibrahim Al Qatari, Financial Manager, FEWA, Humaid Al Shamsi Information Systems Manager, FEWA, Abdul Rahman Al Sheikh, Legal Affairs, FEWA, Shamsa Al Shamsi Acting Director of Communications, FEWA, and Nawal Al Zarooni Financial Auditor, FEWA.

As a sign of appreciation, Emirates Post officials presented Mohammed Saleh, Ibrahim Al Qatary and Nawal Al Zarooni with mementos as acknowledgement of their role in the successful finalisation of the agreement.

The new agreement consolidates Emirates Post's position as a one-stop shop for public services, offering great convenience to the public as well boosting partnerships between government bodies.

Emirates Post's post-offices are open from 8.00 a.m. to 8 p.m. Payment can be made by cash or cheque at Emirates Post.
