SANYO introduces 9.1-Megapixel Xacti Digital Movie Camera - the VPC-CG9

SANYO Gulf FZE, a subsidiary of SANYO Electric Co. Ltd, today introduced its latest Xacti digital movie camera - the VPC-CG9, offering 9.1-Megapixel digital still images, high resolution photos and longer recording time.

The VPC-CG9 is available across the Middle East.

The feature-rich, easy-to-use VPC-CG9 incorporates the newly developed high-power 5X optical lens, and offers beautiful, high-quality still images and movies compatible with computers and the Internet.

The new ergonomic design of the VPC-CG9 allows level filming when used with a tripod, and fits more comfortably in the hand.

The camera features a 2.5 inch LCD monitor to facilitate easy image viewing.

The sequential photo setting of VPC-CG9 takes up to 10 photos with a shutter speed of 5 frames per second (fps), while the Super Macro mode allows clear photos of small items only 1 cm away.

With the CMOS sensor, movies can be recorded and played back at a smooth rate of 60 fps, and still images can be taken simultaneously as movie recording without stopping or pausing the movie.

Moreover, the VPC-CG9 offers smaller frame sizing for easy upload to a computer or Internet site.

'The Xacti VPC-CG9 combines sophisticated features with superior functionality to allow for simple operation and comfortable use even for beginners,' said Tetsuji Okui, Managing Director at SANYO Gulf FZE.

The 'Digital Image Stabilizer' incorporated in the VPC-CG9 senses camera revolution and photographic subject movement, whilst the 'Face Chaser' function can recognize up to 12 faces for still images.

Other features include the 'Talking Navigation' function, which informs of camera status and warning, and 'Wind Noise Reduction', which reduces unwanted wind noise when recording movies. The VPC-CG9 is compatible with
