- PRESS RELEASE
HH. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE in his capacity as Ruler of Dubai has ordered to pay a total of Dhs26,168,000 to UAE citizens who own private taxi numbers plates hired through Dubai Taxi Agency at Roads & Transport Authority (RTA).
H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board & Executive Director of the RTA praised this gesture from HH Sheikh Mohammed of rewarding owners of public taxi number plates, most of whom have limited income. "This payment will help them and their families lead a better life and cope with living requirements."
"Such a reward is one of the several bounties HH used to offer to citizens; which are sheer reflection of the attention and follow-up by HH of the living and social conditions of his people, particularly those with limited income. In fact it marks the attention of HH to ensure good living standard to all community segments and demonstrate and enhance the existing social cooperation between community members," added Al Tayer.
