Over the past 10 years, Juniper has consistently designed, developed and delivered new releases of JUNOS software on a time-tested quarterly release cycle to address the evolving high-performance networking requirements of more than 30,000 service provider, enterprise and public sector customers around the world, including the Middle East and North Africa region.

JUNOS software provides carrier-class continuous systems availability, automated network operations and the open innovation that businesses in the Middle East demand to quickly align their networks with changing business requirements, while reducing complexity, cost and risk.

'From the very beginning, Juniper has had the engineering design discipline to innovate broadly and execute relentlessly to solve the most difficult networking problems once, and leverage the solutions broadly across our silicon, system and software research and development efforts,'

said Taj El-Khayat, Head Of Enterprise Channel Group - Middle East & Africa.

'JUNOS software is the culmination of the understanding that a single network operating system must continually evolve to keep pace with the escalating requirements for scale, performance, reliability and security.'

Juniper Networks JUNOS software development is based on three founding design principles collectively referred to as the Power of One:

o One network operating system across platforms that minimizes the time, resources and effort required to plan, deploy and operate a high-performance network infrastructure
o One software release train to deliver stable and fully regression-tested, incremental features and functionality
o One modular software architecture to provide highly available, secure software that is able to evolve quickly to meet customer requirements

'The key to networking in today's market, whether you're an enterprise or a consumer, is consistency and predictability - your network has to do what it promised,'said Tom Nolle, president, CIMI Corp.

'Juniper has been a leader in delivering on what is the most important dimension in meeting that requirement, which is a stable network operating system with a single version in each release and a predictable release schedule. This is an issue that's only going to get more important over time, and it's an issue that Juniper's already in the lead on.'

These time-tested founding principles have guided the evolution of JUNOS software, which now runs across a broad portfolio of Juniper Networks platforms and integrates a rich set of features for routing, switching, security and an array of advanced network services.

In the past year alone, Juniper introduced: a Partner Solution Development Platform (PSDP), which invites customers and partners to design and develop specialized applications on JUNOS; integrated best-in-class security services from Juniper Networks ScreenOS software into JUNOS 9.0 software; and eight new hardware platforms powered by JUNOS software, including the first high-performance control plane scaling platform and Ethernet switches for IT organizations.
