Mobilink awards its staff

About 60 employees and Board members attended the event, which celebrated and acknowledged the accomplishments of staff.

In his opening remarks, Sheikh Waleed Al Sayegh, Mobilink Telecom Group's CEO, acknowledged the contribution of all employees to the continued success of the organization.

'We are gathering tonight not only to celebrate our accomplishments in 2007, but to start with you a new era of growth and prosperity,'

he said.

Mobilink Telecom Group's Chairman Sheikh Mohammad Al Sayegh said the annual event has grown in importance over the years.

'We have gone beyond using the Annual Staff Event as a vehicle for cascading strategic messages to the provision of a platform for celebrating the achievements of our staff and the organization. This is critical for team-building and energizing staff to be more and achieve more,' he said.

He also said, 'In order to grow, we have to change… and to change we have to confront our weaknesses and work on them in order to achieve our growth targets. Therefore, our slogan for this year onward is: Changing to Grow… Growing to Lead.'

Daniel Nassar, Mobilink's Chief Business Officer, said this was yet another very successful event.

He said:

'I am extremely grateful to the outstanding team-work that was demonstrated by those involved.'

'I do believe that the event will be one that our staff will remember for a long time,' he added.

Khalid Abu Shady, the Chief Operations Officer, had focused in this event on the strategic vision of Mobilink Telecom group.
